Happy new year

2009 is going to be an interesting year for the housing market. The experts are divided on whether Armageddon or recovery is just around the corner! It is certainly interesting reading the reviews of 2008 and hearing financial journalist rationalise their predictions for the year. I think what is clear from last year is beware of the experts and 24 hour news ! It is clearly not healthy watching events unfold minute by minute and it almost seems that further financial decline becomes a self fulfilling prophecy.
The first week back has been interesting to say the least. On one sale we agreed the vendor actually had to decide between two competing purchasers ! We have spent much of the last week on the phone to our mailing list applicants. There are definitely people out there desperately wanting to move but frustrated by the lack of suitable properties on the market. They are not prepared to compromise and Italicthere is certainly no problem finding a comfortable rented property while they search.
COUNTRY PROPERTIES MAGAZINE
We have this month launched a new magazine. The magazine will include a selection of properties together with editorial. The magazine is available from our office and from March as a downloadable pfd from our web site.

PRICE REDUCTIONS
We have had some fantastic price reductions to start the new year.
